Biography

Originally from California, Jordanna Matlock holds a Bachelors Degree in Bassoon Music Performance (BM) and a Masters Degree in Bassoon Music Performance (MM) from Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona. During her masters, Jordanna was the Ethnomusicology teacher’s assistant for Dr. Ted Solis. She graduated Suma Cum Laude with her masters in 2017.

Jordanna gigs professionally in and around the Phoenix area. She has played with Arizona State University Symphony Orchestra, Chandler Symphony, Scottsdale Symphony, Herberger Theatre, and Arizona Broadway Theatre. Jordanna teaches bassoon at Rosie’s House and in her own private studio. Jordanna also teaches music classes at Musicology, an early childhood education program all the way to college students at Mesa Community College. She has also worked at the Musical Instrument Museum, Phoenix Center for the Arts, and the Phoenix Symphony. Jordanna has an undying passion for playing and teaching music in all capacities and all age ranges.
