Biography

Bryon Ruth holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and Master’s degree in Saxophone Performance/Pedagogy from Arizona State University. He has been an active member of the Phoenix jazz scene for over thirty years.

Mr. Ruth has been a member of three locally awards winning jazz ensembles “Lookout for Hope,” “Odd Man Out,” and the “Phoenix Jazz Workshop.” He has also performed with The Phoenix Symphony, Bobby Caldwell, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Rosemary Clooney, Tony Bennett, Rita Moreno, Rufus Reid, Tim Hagans, Wayne Newton, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, and others.

In addition, Mr. Ruth was a recipient of an Artist Project Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and has recorded as a sideman on the Summit record label.
